FUTURE CITY OF MARS COLONIZATION

UNI MOON BASE 2124 1st PRIZE

This design, tailored for the NASA Artemis program and Martian settlements, presents a modular habitat ideal for Mars and the Moon's extreme conditions. It features adaptable modules capable of mobility, including rotation and relocation, automated for self-reconfiguration. This innovation ensures resilience and expansion, essential for space colonization under challenging environments like extreme weather and meteorite impacts.

Adopting an automated construction approach based on cellular automata, this design addresses the needs of future Martian migrants. It leverages in situ 3D printing with local materials, reducing transportation costs. This approach results in a flexible, expandable habitat, equipped to handle the unique challenges of extraterrestrial environments, aligning with the economic and practical necessities of space exploration.
