CURTAIN

AlGEA BEADS

The curtain acts as an innovative container for algae beads, a biomaterial celebrated for its oxygen-releasing properties. Adorned with a "Voronoi diagram" pattern, crafted from waterproof glue and recyclable plastic, the curtain aesthetically mirrors natural formations such as cells and leaves, evoking the process of photosynthesis. The integration of water and algae beads within the curtain serves as a temperature-regulation system. This distinctive aspect enables the curtain to absorb and dissipate heat gradually, akin to the function of a camel's hump. Owing to water's high heat capacity, the curtain is capable of storing and releasing more heat compared to traditional curtains, enhancing its effectiveness in both cooling and heating. This design thoughtfully incorporates biomaterials into a functional, eco-friendly home product.

WHAT IS ALGEA BEADS?

Algae bead releases oxygen through the process of photosynthesis, in which the algae inside the bead use energy from light to convert carbon dioxide and water into glucose and oxygen. This process occurs within the chloroplasts of the algae cells, which are responsible for capturing and converting light energy into chemical energy.
